Vinny Privacy Policy

Introduction

This privacy policy outlines how we handle your data when you use the Vinny bot on Discord.

Guild Configuration

We store guild configurations in our database. Upon bot removal, all configuration data will be deleted.

Moderation Data

Moderation data is stored permanently in our database. After guild removal, moderation data will be hidden from the web interface.

User Authentication

User authentication data is collected during Discord login and retained only for the duration of the OAuth2 session.

Message Storage

Your messages that were sent in tickets opened using the bot will be stored for up to 30 days, after which they'll be deleted.

Activity Tracking

Vinny includes an optional activity tracking feature that is disabled by default. When enabled by a guild administrator, the bot stores activity statistics for up to 14 days.

What is collected:

• - User per-channel message count
• - User per-channel voice chat hours
• - Server join and leave numbers

This data is purely numerical and does not include message content, usernames, or any personally identifiable information. All data is aggregated by guild, channel, user, and time (day/hour).

Every user in a guild can view that guild’s activity metrics using the /stats command. After 14 days, all activity data is automatically deleted.

Data Security

We do not share your data with any third parties. All data is securely stored within our servers.
